'Tis The Season

** 12/6/16 Top Pick at Sunny Day Crafting! **
** 12/16/16 Top 3 at artbymiran Challenge! **

Hi everyone! I hope those of you in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I still can't believe it has come and gone, and I ask myself every day where this year has gone. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I look forward to it every year even though I know Christmas will be fast on it's heels. I'm happy to say that my Christmas cards are almost finished. Woo-hoo! It's time for another fun challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges and I'm proud to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #104 - Anything Goes with optional Traditional Christmas Colors. Our sponsor this time is Art by MiRan so come on over and play - we can't wait to see what you create! We know you love the anything goes theme, and the traditional Christmas colors is optional and not required to enter our challenge!

I chose MiRan's 'Elfie Elizabeth' image to create with and isn't she just adorable?! I got a Scan N Cut a little over a month ago and this little gal was the very first image I cut with it. I'm in love! And I created my first-ever pointed panel gate fold card. This project was just F-U-N all the way around!

In keeping with the optional traditional Christmas colors (as any good DT member should do), I used lots of red and green! I used some relatively new Christmas papers, a couple dies and a new punch. I popped the image up on foam pads for a little dimension.

Here's a shot of this fun card opening to reveal the pointed panels. So much fun! I definitely see more of these in my future, lol!

And finally, a shot fully open revealing the inside sentiment stamped in green and red. There's nothing like a fun fold! ;)

Proud to enter this fun fold into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Real Red and Garden Green cardstock, Stampin' Up! Warmth & Cheer DSP
  • Stamps: Art by MiRan 'Elfie Elizabeth' digital image, Stampin' Up Versatile Christmas stamp set
  • Ink: Spectrum Noir- FS3, FS6, JG2, JG7, DR2, BG2, GB11, TN4, TN6; Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay, Stampin' Up! Real Red and Garden Green ink
  • Dies/Punches: Stampin' Up! Word Window punch, Cottage Cutz Double-Stiched Ovals die, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals die
  • Accessories: Brother Scan N Cut, MISTI, Gold Wink of Stella, Stampin Dimensionals, Red Stampendous Dot Sparklers, Stampin' Up! Rhinestones

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and have found a little inspiration to create something for our challenge this time! We'd love to see your 'anything goes' project with optional traditional Christmas colors! Remember, the traditional colors are optional and not required to enter our challenge! Be sure to check out all the fun digis over at Art by MiRan - what an amazing artist! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Congratulations Grad!

** 12/1/16 Winner at CCC Digi Creations! **

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! This is Thanksgiving week and I hope everyone has plans to spend this wonderful holiday with family and/or friends. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday just as Fall is my favorite season - they go hand in hand! :) It's time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I'm thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #90 - Anything Goes! We know you love the 'Anything Goes' theme so we're indulging you once again! Our sponsors are Graciellie Design, Julia Spiri Digital Stamps and Bugaboo Digi Stamps so come on over and play!

I was commissioned to make several graduation cards this year so I made some extras to build up my stash for next year. I chose the absolutely a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e. 'Kidz-Graduate Girl' digi from Bugaboo Digi Stamps to create this card in a primarily black and white color scheme with just a pop of pink. I'm really loving how this turned out!

As all Bugaboo images are, this one was a joy to color. I pulled out a couple stitched dies and a floral oval, and hand-cut several flags that I layered in the top left corner. And of course I added my signature big bow! ;)

I decorated the inside with a leftover strip of the dotted paper from the front, stamped a sentiment and then layered the panel on pink cardstock.

Proud to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White and Bubble Gum Pink cardstock, Marco's Black cardstock, The Paper Cut Black Mini Dots paper
  • Stamps: Paper Smooches Chart Toppers stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Spectrum Noir- IG2, IG4, IG6, IG7, FS2, FS3, FS6, EB1, EB2, PP1, PP3, CT3, CT4, DR1
  • Dies/Punches: Memory Box Stitched Oval Layers dies, Spellbinders Floral Ovals die
  • Accessories: Really Reasonable Ribbon Pink Aster seam binding, MISTI, Doodlebug Design Pink Jewels Cupcake Assortment, Pink Stampendous Dot Sparklers

I hope you've enjoyed this project and will create something to enter in our Anything Goes challenge this time! And be sure to check out all the amazing digis at Graciellie DesignJulia Spiri Digital Stamps and Bugaboo Digi Stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Winter Wishes Note Card

** 12/5/16 Winner at Daisy Chain Challenges! **
** 12/11/16 Top 3 at Not Just Cards! **
** 12/31/16 Winner Runner Up at Eclectic Ellapu! **

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday - hope you've had a great week! Don't we all just love the weekends?! We've had some gorgeous weather here which makes the weekends even more enjoyable! Our newest challenge at Let's Craft and Create began on the 5th, and I'm stoked to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #119 - Winter!

I had a ball creating this note card by embossing the entire front panel with sparkle embossing powder to create the look of shimmering snow in the moonlight. I've made several of these over the past few years and they are so much fun.

I inked a white panel with pink, turquoise and dark blue ink, while masking the moon, then did first and second generation stamping of the tree (stamped once loaded with ink, then stamped off once) to create the forest background. I covered the entire inked/stamped panel with Versamark Dazzle and then embossed it with iridescent sparkle embossing powder. It's so pretty in real life! :)

I layered the panel on silver mirror cardstock prior to adhering it to the card base. I left the inside blank, as it is a note card.

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Premium White cardstock, Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Marco's Silver Mirror cardstock
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree stamp set, Gina K Designs Christmas Wishes stamp set (sentiment)
  • Ink: Memento Paris Dusk, Teal Zeal & Angel Pink; Versamark
  • Dies/Punches: Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Sentiment Flag
  • Accessories: Judi-Kins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and have found some inspiration to play in our Winter challenge this month! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! Well, this past weekend was daylight savings time - I definitely like falling back better than springing forward, but I really wish the time could just stay the same year round. The Love To Scrap Challenge Blog DT has had a week off and we're ready to get back into the action with another fun challenge! I'm excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #89 - Fancy My Fold! We're being sponsored this time by Oddball Art Co., StarStampz and All Dressed Up Stamps, so come on over and play! Fancy folds, or fun folds as many people call them, are my addiction!

This was my first attempt at a center easel card and I'm really loving how it turned out! I've been on another fancy fold kick for the past few months and when I found this one, I really wanted to give it a try. I dug into my stash of All Dressed Up Stamps images and decided on the adorable 'Happy Birthday' image as the focal image for this fun fold. Isn't this little ballerina just the cutest ever?!

I immediately decided on a yellow and pink color combo when I sat down to color her, so I paired the yellow cardstock matching her hair with a pink and yellow dotted paper from my Bold Basics paper stack. I used sentiment stamps from a couple different stamp sets, a couple flourish die cuts and some punched flowers with rhinestone centers.

Here's a side angle shot showing the simple construction.

And the best part is... it folds completely flat for mailing! :)

Happy to enter this fun fold into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Rose Red cardstock, GKD Wild Dandelion cardstock, Recollections Bold Basics Paper Pad
  • Stamps: All Dressed Up Stamps 'Happy Birthday' digi, Stampin' Up! 'Balloon Celebrations', 'Endless Birthday Wishes' and 'Something To Say' stamp sets, GKD 'Folk Filigree' stamp set
  • Ink: Spectrum Noir- CT1, CT2, FS2, FS3, FS6, FS8, Spectrum Noir Pink Garnet Sparkle, Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Dies/Punches: Cottage Cutz Double Stitched Ovals die, JustRite Stitched Oval and Vine dies, Stampin' Up! Flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" Circle punch
  • Accessories: Darice pink foam, Stampin' Up! Rhinestones

I hope you've found a little inspiration to create a fancy fold project for our challenge this time! Be sure to check out all the fun digital images at Oddball Art Co.StarStampz and All Dressed Up Stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

You Are Loved {A LOT}

** 11/11/16 Party Pick at PDE Linky Party! **

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday - hope you've had an amazing week! The temps are dropping slightly here and we are looking forward to an awesome weekend! It's time for another fun challenge over at Crafty Friends Challenge Blog and I'm super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #44 - Card for Someone Special! We have some amazing sponsors this time:

I chose to use the DigiStamps4Joy 'Anemone Corner' digi for my special card. This card truly is special, as it was for my granddaughter's 13th birthday a few weeks ago. Love, love, love how it turned out! I printed the image on watercolor paper and heat set it so I could do some watercoloring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a Niji brush. What an amazing image!

This is a clean and simple design with a few mini ink splatters created with an Amethyst Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker and some sequins, layered on silver mirror cardstock. That's it!

I popped the layered image up on foam for interest. I used Crystal Drops on the centers of the flowers to create a little dimension.

I decorated the inside with a single strip of leftover silver mirror cardstock used on the front, and the stamped birthday sentiment.

I'm proud to to enter my granddaughters' birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, GKD Wild Lilac cardstock, Marco's Silver Mirror cardstock
  • Stamps: DigiStamps4Joy 'Anemone Corner' digital image, Stampin' Up! Grateful Bunch (front sentiment), GKD Fabulous Holiday Fillers (inside sentiment)
  • Ink: Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers- Deep Violet, Light Green, Deep Green; Spectrum Noir Aqua- Bud Green; Spectrum Noir Sparkle- Amethyst; Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant ink
  • Accessories: Niji brush, Clear Wink of Stella, English Mustard Crystal Drops, Purple Doodlebug Design sequins

Merry Christmas

** 11/9/16 Top 3 at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog! **

Hi everybody! OMG, we're bounding into November, and Christmas will be here before we know it. How are you doing with your Christmas cards? I've made a few random ones over the last couple months to add to my stash, and have begun working on my 'big pile' to mail out... working on them assembling-line style. I'm pretty confident I'll have them finished by the first week in December!

It's time for another fun challenge over at Craft for the Craic where I began my guest designer gig last month. I'm excited to share my inspiration project for our 2 Colors Challenge - we'd love to see your project using just two colors on project. You may add a neutral color if you'd like. I created a Christmas card from leftover red and green scraps and added white as my neutral color.

This was such a fun and easy design. I used strips leftover from panels cut for my pile of Christmas cards. My scraps happened to all the same width so I alternated the red and the green to make the background which I layered on white and then green. I stamped a large sentiment in green on heavy vellum and layered it on the green cardstock.

I decorated the inside with a couple scrap pieces and stamped the sentiment in red, then layered the panel on the green cardstock. Green is my favorite color... can you tell?! :)

I'm happy to to enter this Christmas card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Stampin' Up! Whisper White and Real Red cardstock, Stampin' Up! Trim The Tree DSP, Marco's Vellum
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Seasonally Scattered stamp set, Paper Smooches Holiday Cheer stamp set
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Garden Green and Real Red ink
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up! Pearls

I hope you've enjoyed this project and have found a little inspiration to play in our challenge this month using just two colors plus a neutral if you'd like. Fun, fun, fun! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
Scrappy hugs,

You make my heart dance

** 11/15/16 Top 3 at CCC Digi Creations! **
** 11/30/16 Winner at Pearly Sparkles! **
** 12/1/16 Best Technique Winner at Classic Design Team Open Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! Back with my third and final post today - hope you're not getting tired of me, lol! The November House of Cards challenge is going live this morning and I'm excited to share my DT inspiration project for Lots of Layers and/or Colors! OMGoodness, look at this inspiration photo! Love, love, love... hope you do as much as I do! ;)

I had THE BEST time putting this card together... layer after layer after layer. I mean I dug deep into my crafty stash and brought out a heap of goodies. All the paper elements are layered on charcoal brown cardstock and I used a couple stitched circle dies and added a double loop bow.

Anybody who knows me knows I have a severe shoe fetish and I fell instantly in love with this shoe die the moment I saw it. I knew this sparkly stiletto needed to be the center of attention - on top of all those layers. I added some punched butterflies and flowers, along with a few other cool elements to create the collage.

I decorated the inside with some scraps from the papers used on the front, and stamped an appropriate shoe-themed sentiment. :)

Happy to enter all these layers into the following challenges

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Charcoal Brown cardstock, Core'dinations orange Glitter Silk, papers and ephemera from Polly's Paper Studio Fall Harvest Creativity Kit
  • Stamps: Paper Pretties 'Ballerina Sophie' and 'Sassy Shoes' stamp sets
  • Ink: Ranger Walnut Stain distress ink, Ingvild Bolme Knotted Wood chalk ink
  • Dies/Punches: Tattered Lace High Heel Glam die, Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers dies
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up! Bitty Butterfly and Petite Petals punches, MISTI, Fiskars corner rounder, plaid ribbon scrap from stash, Dark Walnut Crystal Drops, Copper flat-back pearls, tiny black rhinestones, large gray gemstones

I hope you've found a little inspiration to play in our challenge this month! We'd love to see lots of layers on your creation... or use some of those yummy colors! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie

Hope your birthday rocks!

** 11/15/16 Best Technique Winner at World Wide Open Design Team Challenge **

Hello there, crafty friends! Yep, it's the 1st so you'll be seeing a few posts from me today! I hope November is off to a great start for you! It's time for another fun all-crafts challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I'm excited to share my DT inspiration project with you for November Anything Goes! We'd love to see whatever you're working on!

You know I'm a fancy fold fanatic so I created a Double Z-Fold. This was my first attempt and I really love how it turned out! It was for my son's 30th birthday - he's my baby and he's a musician (drums and guitar) so I wanted to create something really fun - and he loved it!

I kept with a masculine black and white color combo, using a couple coordinating patterned paper with silver metal studs for that 'manly factor' and silver mirror cardstock for layering.

I've had these rubber stamps for a couple years - purchased with my son in mind - and had never used them! What's wrong with that picture?! It was way past time to break them out! I cut the tiny musical notes from red cardstock for a little added pop of color.

Here's a front shot of the opened-up Z-fold.

What a fun sentiment that gets right to the point!

And finally, an overhead shot. Very happy with how this turned out! I see more of these in my future, lol!

Proud to enter this fun fold into the following challenges

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Black Onyx and White cardstock, GKD Cherry Red cardstock scrap, Marco's Silver Mirror cardstock, The Paper Cut Diagonal Stripes and Plaid patterned papers
  • Stamps: The Stamp Doctor Drum Set stamp and Birthday Rocks sentiment stamp
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Accessories: Basic Grey silver metal studs

I hope you've enjoyed this project and will consider entering whatever it is you're working on in our Anything Goes challenge this month! I happen to have some first-hand news... Love To Craft Challenge Blog is going to have another giveaway when we reach 200 followers! Be sure to tell all your friends, and go ahead and grab our badge for your sidebar to help spread the crafty love! Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you one more time this morning! ;)

Thanks A Bunch Note Card

** 11/11/16 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges! **

Hi everyone! Happy November 1st - hope you had a fun time celebrating Halloween if you live in the States! We had a great time! My Crafting Stories is launching a new challenge this morning and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #11 - Thank You! We're being sponsored by Angie's Digital Stamps this time so come on over and play with us!

I chose the absolutely adorable Angie's Digital Stamps 'Birds in Birdbath' digital image for my thank you card. I created my own background with repetitive stamping to match the sentiment stamped on the colored image. I'm enamored with my stitched dies and used a double stitched one to cut the image.

I found a scrap of black and white dotted ribbon in my stash that I used to fashion a small bow which I think compliments this image and background very nicely. The only other embellishments used were blue gemstones.

I left the inside blank, as this is a note card, but did decorate it with a scrap of dotted paper and the blue cardstock used for layering.

Happy to enter this thank you card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, GKD Powder Blue cardstock, The Paper Cut Black & White Dots paper scrap
  • Stamps: Angie's Digital Stamps 'Birds in Birdbath' digi, WPlus9 'Hand Lettered' Thanks stamp set
  • Ink: Spectrum Noir- TB2, TB3, TB4, CT1, CT4, IG4, IG5, LG5, Spectrum Noir Aqua- Marigold; Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Dies/Punches: Cottage Cutz Double Stitched Rectangle die
  • Accessories: MISTI, Black and white dotted ribbon scrap, Blue rhinestones

I hope you've enjoyed this project and have found a little inspiration to create a thank you card for our challenge this month! Be sure to check out all the fun digital images over at Angie's Digital Stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you shortly for another post, lol!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
