When life gives you lemons... or limes ;)

Hi everybody! It's Friday and it's July 1st! Hope you've had an awesome week! It's hotter than the law should allow here in north Florida - we've had a couple days with temps over 100 degrees. It's time for another fun challenge over at House of Cards and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration projects for our July Challenge: Fruit/Drink Image and/or Colors! Come play with us - we want to see your project with a fruit/drink image and/or some or all of these colors:

This challenge theme screams SUMMER to me! I couldn't help myself... I made two projects - a lemonade and a limeade! One just didn't seem right without the other, lol! My inspiration came from Pinterest but I put my own spin on them. Fun, fun, fun! ;)

I ordered the Stampin' Up! Tart and Tangy stamp set used for these encouragement cards specifically for this challenge. I used the Impression Obsession Diagonal Lines background stamp for the straws. I added matching double-loop bows and sequins along with a computer-generated sentiment cut with a stitched flag die.

The glasses are vellum and contain stamped lemons and limes cut in half and 'stacked' on the back side of the colored piece of vellum. There's a pretty rim of glitter on the top of each glass. ;)

The inside sentiment is from Unity which I paired with a few more stamped lemons and limes.

Although I can only upload one photo, I'd love to enter this PAIR of fun cards into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, Marco's 30# Vellum and Black cardstock, Fiskars green and yellow vellum
  • Stamps: SU Tart and Tangy stamp set, Impression Obsession Diagonal Lines background stamp, Unity Blossom by Blossom stamp set
  • Ink: SU Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight ink, Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Dies/Punches: Lil Inker Designs Sentiment Flag die
  • Accessories: SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, MISTI, RRR Emerald Plaid and Yellow Plaid ribbon, Doodlebug Design green and yellow sequins

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects and you've found a little inspiration to play in our Fruit/Drink Image and/or Colors challenge this month! Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
